MIA launches new information service

All specifiers and users of mortar are set to benefit from the launch of a new information package from The Mortar Industry Association (MIA). Help is on hand for anyone needing technical or practical advice on all aspects of mortar use including: mortar types, what they can do, their structural relationship to bricks and blocks, and how they should be specified and used.

The information package will combine four different elements: technical datasheets, a video, a benefits brochure and an enquiry service -all of which will provide useful information in an up to date and easily accessible format.

MIA Chairman, Neil Beningfield said: "Mortar is an extremely versatile product and for this reason it is essential that users and specifiers understand the factors that make it so durable and attractive. Our new information package or 'toolkit' covers all aspects of mortar usage, from product specification and implementation of sound site practice to choosing a supplier when using mortar. Each arm of the information 'toolkit' has been specifically designed to make each and every step of choosing and using mortar more effective."

The new information toolkit forms part of MIA's continuing commitment to provide dedicated technical advice and good practice information for mortar users and specifiers.
