Data Sheet 24 published: Repointing external brickwork

Mortar in poor condition can lead to a loss surface wall strength, although this is unlikely to result in overall loss in strength.

This data sheet sets out the assessment of the need for repointing, the choice of the mortar mix to be used and the application methods.
