Heats for Guild Of Bricklayers Competition Near Completion
Three further heats of the Guild of Bricklayers 2018 national competition, sponsored by MIA, have now been completed.
The Western regional heat held at Swindon College was won in the senior category by Viktor Sukharger who studies at the college and in the junior section by Ross Nelson of City of Bristol College.
West Suffolk College was the venue for the East Midlands heat where John Moore of the college took the senior prize and Adam Schneider of Peterborough Regional College, the junior.
At the Yorkshire heat, Morgan Chambers took the senior category and Adan Batty the junior. Both winners study at Barnsley College. The event was held at Doncaster College and University Centre.
MIA sponsors all stages of the national competition by supplying mortar through its producer members. This was done by Tarmac for the East Midlands and Yorkshire events and CPI for Western.
There are only two further heats to be completed before the final contested by all heat winners, which will be held Brooklands College, Weybridge, at the end of June.
